A date for jury selection has been set for the B.C. Supreme Court trial of a Shuswap man accused in a fatal hit-and-run crash on a rural road near Magna Bay in 2016.
Raymond Edward Swann is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Brian Watson, a Kamloops-Thompson school district facilities worker who was struck and killed while riding his motorcycle on Squilax-Anglemont Road on April 3, 2016.
Swann’s four-week trial is slated to get underway on July 16. During a brief appearance in court on Wednesday, jury selection was set for the first day of trial.
Swann, who is from Sorrento, is not in custody.
Lawyers are scheduled to return to court for a pre-trial conference on May 15.
